Meet the Pastor, Pastor Norman Edmonds, Sr.
James Chapter 3 verse 1 says: My bretheren be not many of you masters (teachers), Knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Norman Edmonds, Sr. was born on November 25th, 1963 to Mr. Whitney, Jr. and Mrs. Clara Edmonds. He grew up in the public school system. After graduating from Thibodaux High School in 1981, he attended Louisiana Technical College where he completed an Accounting curriculum.
Rev. Edmonds is married to Sis. Jeanie Marie Edmonds, and they have two children, Norman Edmonds, Jr. and Janay Carolyn Edmonds.
Rev. Edmonds was baptized on April 24th, 1977 at Morning Star Baptist Church by the late Rev. Andrew Lee. He faithfully attended Sunday School, served as President of the youth choir and a deacon until God called him to ministry.
Rev. Edmonds was licensed on September 3rd, 2000. He was ordained on August 24th, 2002 under the ministry of Doctor Reverend Thomas Williams, Jr. at Morning Star Baptist Church. He was elected as Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church on July 7th, 2003 and officially installed on August 1st, 2003.
He has through the guidance and empowerment of the Holy Spirit called many to Christ, baptized, married, buried, christened, counseled many and continues to encourage everyone he encounters.
Through his great leadership Pastor Edmonds has revitalized the Sunday School and both the Youth and Senior Choirs. In addition to that he has introduced six new ministries to the church, which are the Shepherd’s Corner, Women of Virtue, ACTS spiritual dance team, The Youth Ministry, Men of Purpose and The Media Ministry ( Which includes this web site ). He also implemented a mid-week service.
Also under his administration we have made great progress and improvements in other areas. We have installed new carpet throughout the church, upgraded the public address system, added a mirror over the baptismal pool, added a computer system, new air condition units, new riding mower, Purchased Three new vans and completed the payoff of the church building.
Pastor has authored 3 books as of this writing, his first titled "Quit Living For Sunday" Followed by "The Paint Is Peeling" and Finally followed by "Your Peace Is Priceless". All 3 books are available after Church service in the sanctuary and on Amazon.com
His philosophy is to remain humble and to lead by example. In everything he gives the glory to God for He alone is worthy. The heart of his message is always love and unity because he knows that God is Love.
